Representative matters

Cory’s experience includes the following representative matters:
  • Prosecuted claims, resulting in a substantial recovery for our client, arising from the repeated failures of multi-million-dollar imaging equipment that the adversary blamed on user error;
  • Recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars on behalf of a home builder, before initiating litigation, despite buyer's claims of deficient work;
  • Defended a title-insurance company against claims related to the alleged theft of funds intended by a real-property buyer to be used at closing;
  • Successfully prosecuted a bid protest, on behalf of an incumbent contractor, against the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the Commonwealth’s failure to follow the law in awarding a new service contract to the contractor’s competitor;
  • Prosecuted a breach-of-contract claim while simultaneously defending a fraud claim on behalf of a commercial real-estate broker who was owed hundreds of thousands of dollars in commissions;
  • Conducted privileged internal investigations on behalf of multiple educational institutions into various allegations of wrongdoing;
  • Successfully defended claims that a manufacturer breached a long-term quarry lease agreement by miscalculating royalty payments;
  • Prosecuted claims of defects in commercial construction due to the failure of roofing shingles, causing millions of dollars in damages;
  • Despite allegations of fraud, successfully defended against claims seeking the recision of a contract of commercial technology equipment
